Rachel has worked as the sports dietitian at BYU for the past 18 years. She is a registered and certified
dietitian/nutritionist, certified specialist in sports dietetics, and has a Master's in Public Health. Rachel is passionate about nutrition and the power it has to improve health and quality of life. Fueling athletes’ performance through nutrition education and provision of evidence-based meal plans and food selections that enable athletes to create healthy habits for life.
 
Co-teaches Health 201 and
provides team education as well as individual consultations on a variety of topics which include, but are
not limited to athletic performance, weight loss or weight gain, nutrition post-concussion/injury/surgery, meal planning, healthy eating while traveling/eating out, disordered eating, celiac disease nutrition, diabetes nutrition, etc.
 
Rachel is responsible for the Fueling Station/Nutrition Center which provides evidenced-based foods to help fuel athletes for practice, performance, and recovery. She is also a member of the BYU Athletics multi-disciplinary Health and Wellness Team.
